(a) x+3=0
(b) x-7=0
(c) x+2=5
(d) x-4=2

2. Solve

(a) 2x+4=0
(b) 5x-3=17
(c) 3x+5=23
(d) (1/2)x=9

3. Solve

(a) 1-x = 5
(b) 9-2x=7
(c) (1/5)(3-x)=10
(d) (1/3)x=(2/5)

4. Solve

(a) 1-3x=x+5
(b) 7-x=3x-1
