STEPS
1. Make both denominators be the same.
2. Add the numerator.
3. Simplify.
Example 1 : Add 1/3 + 2/5
Step 1 : (1x5)/(3x5) + (2x3)/(5x3)
Step 2 : (5+6)/(15)
Step 3 : 11/15
Example 2 : Add 2/3 + 4/7
Step 1 : (2x7)/(3x7) + (4x3)/(7x3)
Step 2 : (14+12)/(21)
Step 3 : 26/21@1 5/21
